Vitamin D information

Please ensure to administer the full 1ml, into the Deltoid muscle.

The Vitamin D ampoule can be administered every 6 months.

Do not administer more than stated above, vitamin D is fat soluble and is stored in the body.

If more vitamin D is administered it can lead to toxic levels of vitamin D in the body, which can be detrimental to health.

Vitamin D is fat soluble, meaning it is stored in the body’s tissues and fat cells where it remains inactive and dispersed over time, when needed. Vitamin D can be stored in the body for a long time.

The body absorbs 100% of the vitamin D through injections.

PLEASE NOTE:

If an individual is already taking vitamin D supplements, they will need to stop taking the supplement for 4 weeks before receiving a vitamin D injection.

This allows their body to use up any stored vitamin D and the injection can then be administered.

Also advise the individual not to take any multi vitamin, containing vitamin D or vitamin D supplements after having the vitamin D injection.

This is due to possible toxicity from too much vitamin D, which could cause health implications for the individual.
